It was founded on 2003 and it was originally known as Solokem Enterprise. It was into mining, construction, import and export, civil engineering transport, tourism and merchandise. It was formally established in August 2020 as the Union of Ghana Asia Traders Association(UGATA).The Union of Ghana Asia Traders Association is a voluntary association of professionals and business people, working to create an environment where business can flourish between
Ghanaians and Asia countries (China, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam etc.).
UGATA also provide travel services like studying abroad, tours and visiting abroad to our clients. We offer our clients up-to-date information and the very best of services. We feel both pleased and honored to introduce ourselves as one of the leading travel and tour companies in Ghana.
We also operate in America and Europe. The association (UGATA) strives to promote commercial, economic, educational, tourism and cultural ties between the Republic of Ghana and Asia countries. The association has a strong relationship with the government of Ghana and some governments of Asia countries, to facilitate trade and business projects between Ghana and Asia countries. Together, we represent Ghana traders and businesses of all shapes sizes and across all sectors of the economy, from every corner of the nation. The programs of the association generally include year round monthly business luncheon, business development seminars and conferences, local and foreign partnership facilitation, provision of useful information on issues that impact on members’ business via internet and database Subscriptions. The association comprises the President, Executive Secretary, Secretary, Treasurer, Head-Protocol and Event, Council of Elders.
